My Mirror now offers an 80-minute online couples therapy session designed to support relationships in a structured and professional setting. Below is a guide to help psychologists navigate the couples therapy feature, from session details to technical setup.
Session Details
- Each session lasts 80 minutes, providing ample time for both partners to share and explore their concerns.
- Sessions are private and secure, conducted via My Mirror’s encrypted platform.
- Partners can join from different locations or use the same device.
Billing & Medicare
- Medicare rebates do not apply – All couples therapy sessions are billed under private fees.
- Billing is linked to the primary account holder, who is responsible for managing payments and cancellations.
Psychologist Matching & Booking Considerations
- Help seekers can use the Get Matched tool to find a psychologist who aligns with their relationship goals.
- If a help seeker is already seeing a My Mirror psychologist for individual therapy, they must choose a different psychologist for couples therapy to ensure specialised and unbiased support.
- Upcoming bookings will indicate whether the session is for individual therapy or couples therapy.
Linking Partner Accounts
- Partner accounts must be linked to book a couples therapy session.
- Help seekers can confirm their partner link via the Settings tab.
- Accounts can be unlinked via the Settings tab, but only if there are no existing bookings.
